oil 2011
The most beautiful Spring day in Western New York, clear and bright, green popping out and geese and ganders gaggling.
Waiting for Noon

8X10 oil 2011
Directly across from the Erie canal tour boat dock is a quiet public
park. It offers a wall of old rock foundations and a path up the side
of the locks.
Two tour boats take groups up the locks through the town
of Lockport and back.
Lemon Hide

15X11.5 pastel 2011
Bad Spring weather kept me from painting outdoors, so I continued
indoors at the Botanical Gardens in South Buffalo.
People regularly
pass this giant lemon tree but few notice the grapefruit sized lemons
concealed under the heavy leaves. I sat very low and looked up to see
this fruit.
Not my Corsage

11.5X15 pastel 2011
Grandma always had a big floppy Cattleya orchid for Easter that grew floppier as the day went by. This yellow beauty begged to be preserved in a painting.
